The Dayton Sightless Children Club (SCC) was founded in 1952 by a group of parents who saw the need for specialized education for children that were blind or visually impaired to be taught in a public school atmosphere.
SCC is a non-profit organization composed or parents who are interested in the education and social needs of blind/visually impaired youth and young adults. Funding for the SCC is provided by public donations and contributory bequests. These funds provide specialized equipment needed to enhance the educational endeavors of visually impaired at the grade school, high school, college and work-related levels.
